Most communities are now accepting new residents. Move-in requirements include proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of move-in and possible quarantine protocol per community. Some assisted livings allow touring from the outside of the building with a community liaison while wearing masks and social distancing. Most communities, however, are still only doing virtual tours. Visitation is very limited in larger communities, some may be able to schedule a visit through a door or window and others have shifted to virtual visitation only." and "For board and care communities many are allowing visitation by appointment in the backyard with social distancing and wearing masks. There are a few that are allowing visitation inside for bed-bound or hospice patients, but protocols are very strict.
